SAUK RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) - A Sauk Rapids man is accused of killing a 30-year-old woman while the couple’s four children were in the home.

Thirty-seven-year-old David Lee Williams Jr. was charged Monday with second-degree murder in the death of Crystal Marie Bundy. Bail was set at $500,000.

Police were called to the home early Saturday about a woman who was unconscious and not breathing. Officers found recent bruises on Bundy, who also had two black eyes.

According to the complaint, Bundy apparently died before the 911 call. She died of blunt force injuries and strangulation.

Williams declined to talk to investigators.

Four children, ages 2 to 7, were at the home. Williams’ parents arrived at the same time as the ambulance. The parents told investigators Williams had called them to pick up the children.
