ATLANTA (AP) - Police in Atlanta are searching for a man they say shot and wounded a 15-year-old boy for using fireworks on July Fourth.

WAGA-TV reports Atlanta police say the boy was shooting fireworks near a city apartment complex late Thursday when a man approached and asked him to stop. They say the boy refused and the man opened fire, hitting the boy several times. The boy was hospitalized.

His condition was unclear as of Friday morning.
