RENO, Nev. (AP) - Reno police are investigating a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 72-year-old Reno man on a motorcycle.
Police said Thursday the motorcyclist died shortly after he was transported to a local hospital Wednesday evening.
Witnesses reported that the man was turning onto southbound McCarran Boulevard in west Reno on a flashing yellow turn arrow when a pickup headed the opposite direction on Rio Poco with a green light collided with him.
The victim was thrown from his motorcycle. His name has not been released.
Police say the driver of the pickup remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators.
Neither speed nor impairment appeared to be a factor in the crash.
