WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, Vt. (AP) - The Vermont attorney general’s office says a second forum for a hate-free Vermont is being held in White River Junction.

The office says the event was organization in conjunction with the Vermont NAACP, the Vermont Partnership for Fairness and Diversity, and others.

Organizers say the purpose is to generate community conversation about bias incidents and hate crimes in Vermont.

The moderator says the series “is intended to take the pulse of Vermonters’ experience of discrimination” and to bring together policymakers and community members to discuss the issues.

Community members are encouraged to tell their stories.

The event takes place Thursday, June 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Hartford High School.
