ANDOVER, Mass. (AP) - Massachusetts State Police say a teenage driver who was involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash in Andover has died.

Police said Sunday the operator was a 16-year-old male from Tewksbury.

Per department policy, the teen’s name is not being released because of his age.

The crash occurred Saturday at about 5 p.m. on Route 93. Police say the teen was driving a 2018 Mitsubishi SUV when he lost control of the vehicle, for reasons that remain under investigation. The vehicle then traveled off the road and rolled over before crashing into a sign post.

Police say the driver was the sole occupant in the vehicle.
