FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Health officials have confirmed a case of tuberculosis at a private Christian school in North Carolina.

WRAL-TV reports that Cumberland County health officials were notified Tuesday that single person at Village Christian Academy in Fayetteville had been diagnosed with the disease. The county department of public health says any reported case of tuberculosis must be investigated.

Cumberland County Interim Health Director Duane Holder says tuberculosis is “completely curable” with medication and no one is at immediate risk of health issues.

Those who may have been exposed can receive a skin test for the disease March 6 at the school.

Village Christian Academy serves students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
