BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - Bismarck police say they have recovered an assault rifle believed to have been involved in a weekend highway shooting.

Sgt. Garner Jones said Sunday police are still investigating the shooting along Memorial Highway that happened Friday about 11:30 p.m. Police responded to a report of an altercation involving firearms. The Bismarck Tribune reports an officer heard the gunfire.

Authorities say several shots were fired, but no one was injured. Police haven’t said who was involved.
