RENO, Nev. (AP) - A suspected burglar has been arrested north of Reno after sheriff’s deputies following his footprints say they found his shoes stuck in the mud.

Washoe County Sheriff’s spokesman Bob Harmon says a resident who reported a burglary in a Sun Valley neighborhood Sunday afternoon saw the suspect run away.

Deputies spotted footprints on the wet ground, which led them to a shoe stuck in deep mud. They followed the trail and found another shoe and some of the stolen property.

Several residents then called 911 about a person matching the shoeless suspect’s description jumping neighborhood fences.

Harmon says 23-year-old Donovan Taylor-Blower had some of the stolen property in his possession along with methamphetamine when he was arrested.

He faces several charges including burglary and resisting arrest. It’s not clear if he has a lawyer or will be appointed one.
