The Washington Redskins have made their first major move in free agency.

The Redskins are signing safety Landon Collins to a six-year, $84 million deal with $45 million guaranteed, according to multiple reports. Collins, 25, will now face his former team, the New York Giants, twice per year in the NFC East.

Washington will need to make room for Collins as they only have $13 million in salary cap space, according to Over The Cap.

ESPN was the first to report on the deal, with NFL Network the first with the contract terms.
