CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - A stretch of U.S. Highway 395 was closed for about two hours south of Carson City due to a potential threat involving hazardous materials before authorities determined there was no danger.

The Nevada Highway Patrol diverted traffic around the scene near Jacks Valley Road at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday based on concerns hazardous materials were inside a tractor-trailer.

The highway was reopened at about 12:30 p.m. after the patrol concluded there was no evidence of a hazmat situation.
