CROSS HILL, S.C. (AP) - Authorities say a man shot at his ex-wife and a locksmith as they were changing the locks on a home in South Carolina.

Laurens County deputies said the woman and the locksmith were able to get inside the home in Cross Hill and protect themselves after the Friday shooting.

Authorities say the man then shot himself.

Deputies say the woman was shot in the arm, while the shooter was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Deputies say the couple had recently divorced.
