NEW YORK (AP) - Officials say a boom crane malfunctioned in midtown Manhattan, causing a minor injury.
Police say the hydraulic system on the boom crane failed, causing the boom to lower to the ground.
It happened at 34th Street and Seventh Avenue just before 10:30 p.m. Monday.
Police say the crane operator suffered a minor injury to his foot.
