GULFPORT, Miss. (AP) - Unnamed police officers have been cleared of shooting a man on the Mississippi Gulf Coast after a standoff.

WLOX-TV reports Tuesday that a Harrison County grand jury declined to indict officers following the deadly March 2018 shooting of Marvin Ray McMillian.

Gulfport police said at the time that the 41-year-old McMillian barricaded himself inside a house on March 2, 2018. After a four-hour standoff, officers said McMillian began firing and police fired back.

At the time, McMillian was wanted on charges of aggravated assault. Police said he shot a man in the leg in January.

No officers were hurt.
