Police: 1 person shot in Vermont, gunman sought

BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - Police are searching for a gunman following a shooting in Burlington, Vermont.

The Burlington Police Department says the victim was shot shortly before 11 a.m. and taken to a hospital. The condition of the victim, who’s a man in his late 20s, was not known.

Police are searching for the gunman but do not believe there is a danger to the public.

There was a heavy police presence Sunday in the area of Grant and Clarke streets.
