FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Police say a Fargo man was driving drunk when he crashed his car and critically injured two young children and left four others hurt.
Authorities say the 31-year-old man and a front seat passenger were also injured when the car collided with an SUV Saturday night. Two people in the SUV were taken to the hospital as well.
KFGO reports when police arrived they found a 5-year-old boy had been removed from the car and was lying in the parking lot of a nursing home where medical personnel were performing CPR. A 7-year-old boy was extricated from the vehicle by firefighters. Both children were taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
The car’s driver was arrested for driving under the influence, but remained in the hospital for treatment.
