DURHAM, N.C. (AP) - Police in North Carolina say a gunshot from an upstairs apartment went through the floor and wounded a woman in another apartment below.
News outlets report the woman suffered serious injuries when she was shot Saturday night in Durham. A statement from Durham police says she was taken to a hospital.
A search warrant says a man came into the living room when he heard a boom, and saw smoke. The woman in the room told him she thought she had been electrocuted. But she was shot in the chest, stomach and right leg.
