PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. (AP) - A Port Townsend man has been arrested on investigation of homicide with controlled substances following the apparent overdose death of a locally-known musician.
The Peninsula Daily News reports 38-year-old Adam Michael Kelly appeared in Jefferson County Superior Court Friday, two days after 43-year-old Jarrod Bramson was pronounced dead, according to the Port Townsend Police Department.
Kelly is being held without bail in Jefferson County Jail.
Police say Bramson was found unconscious in a vehicle at Jefferson Healthcare hospital Wednesday evening. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Police say investigation led to a multi-agency response and execution of a search warrant at a Port Townsend home where hazardous materials were found.
Police believe Kelly lived at the residence and that it was being used as a drug lab.
It wasn’t known if Kelly had a lawyer.
