FRAZER, Pa. (AP) - A woman accused of fatally shooting her husband after they had a drunken argument about money, sex and a burned tuna casserole has been found guilty of voluntary manslaughter.
Teresa Drum now faces up to 20 years when she’s sentenced June 17. She was convicted Thursday in a nonjury trial in which Allegheny County prosecutors had sought a murder conviction.
The 40-year-old Frazer woman was accused of killing 42-year-old Dennis Drum Sr., who died from a single gunshot to the head in February 2017. Her attorney argued that she was a battered woman who was defending herself when he was shot.
A longtime friend of Teresa Drum testified that she often overheard the couple on the phone frequently exchange threats and argue bitterly about money and bad cooking.
