CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Gasoline prices are inching up in northern New England.

In Vermont, prices went up 3.4 cents a gallon, averaging $2.41. Prices in Maine went up 1.3 cents a gallon, averaging $2.36. New Hampshire’s price went up less than a penny to $2.31 a gallon.

The national average is up 15.6 cents per gallon from a month ago, yet stands 9.1 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
