NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Police in Connecticut say they have charged a 17-year-old New Haven resident with shooting a 14-year-old boy.
New Haven police say the older teen was charged this week with first-degree assault.
The 14-year-old boy suffered a gunshot wound to the leg while he was in a business parking lot at about 8:30 p.m. on May 9.
The victim, who was found at a nearby residence, was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening injury and since has been discharged from the hospital.
No name was released because the victim is a juvenile.
The suspect, who was a gunshot victim earlier this year, was heled after his arraigned Wednesday.
