Funerals set for mother, son killed in Ruston tornado

RUSTON, La. (AP) - Funeral arrangements have been set for the mother and son killed during the tornado last week in Ruston.

KTBS-TV reports funerals for 35-year-old Kendra Butler and 14-year-old Remington Butler will be on Sunday at Temple Baptist Church. The service begins at 2:30 p.m.

The mother and son were killed last week when a tree fell on their home during severe weather which spawned an EF3 tornado. The weather system caused storms and tornados from eastern Texas into northern Louisiana.
