WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal prosecutors have released the identities of four men they say gunned down a 10-year-old girl who was on her way to get ice cream.
An indictment unsealed Thursday names Gregory Taylor, Qujuan Thomas, and Antonio and Isaiah Murchison as the gunmen. Authorities say they’re still seeking Isaiah Murchison, as the others were already in custody on unrelated murder and gun charges.
Makiyah Wilson was killed last summer while walking through the crowded courtyard of her Washington, D.C., apartment complex. Authorities have said four masked men jumped out of car and fired gunshots into the crowd, striking Makiyah, who wasn’t a target.
Eleven people are indicted on gang-related charges in the shooting, including a teen who’s charged as an adult with murder. A hearing is set for June 20.
