1 in custody after package found in downtown Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Authorities in Las Vegas have taken a person into custody following an investigation of a suspicious package in downtown.

KVVU-TV reports that streets around downtown were closed to traffic Monday morning as police looked into reports of a package near Main Street and Casino Center Drive.

The U.S. Marshals Service was also on the scene.

Authorities cleared the package around 7:50 a.m.

They also detained a suspect.

No other details were released.
