PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Authorities have made an arrest in the shooting death of a man found slumped over the steering wheel of his SUV in Providence last month.

Police say 36-year-old Sigismund Dantzler, whose last known address was in Lincoln, was arrested with the help of federal authorities in New York City a week ago.

Maj. David Lapatin says Dantzler is wanted for first-degree murder in the death of Jose Santos, of Woonsocket. It’s unclear when he will be returned to Rhode Island or if he has a lawyer.

Lapatin says police are still looking for one other suspect and the motive remains under investigation.

He says Dantzler and Santos knew each other.

Santos was found in the SUV in April 16.
