$115 million bond referendum for Dickinson schools rejected

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) - Dickinson residents appear to have voted down a $115 million bond referendum to build a new high school.

Unofficial results from Tuesday’s election show 57 percent of the 4,779 voters rejecting the proposal.

It called for a $108 million high school and for $7 million to be saved for a future new elementary school. School officials say overcrowding is becoming a problem in the district.
