MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) - An annual energy symposium in New Hampshire will look at such topics as its electricity rates and barriers to natural gas availability in New England.
The Business and Industry Association, in partnership with the New England Ratepayers Association and the American Petroleum Institute, is holding the event Dec. 5 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Manchester.
The association says electricity prices in New Hampshire are already 50% to 60% higher than the national average year-round. It said policies that force heavy reliance on emerging energy technology may increase electric rates and place system reliability at risk.
