PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say a suspect has been arrested in the shooting death of a teenage girl in Philadelphia.
A police spokesman says the girl, who is 12 to 14 years old, was shot in the left shoulder north of the center of the city at about 4:40 p.m. Saturday.
She was taken to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead just before 5 p.m. Saturday.
Police said one male suspect was in custody and “positive identification was made.” A weapon was also recovered.
