LOS ANGELES (AP) - A man authorities say shot and killed a sleeping camper in a Malibu wilderness park and tried to kill 10 others has pleaded not guilty to murder and other crimes.

Forty-three-year-old Anthony Rauda entered pleas Tuesday to an updated indictment charging him with murder, attempted murder and second-degree burglary.

Prosecutors say that over two years beginning in 2016, Rauda fired a rifle at motorists and campers at Malibu State Park, wounding a man and hitting several cars.

Prosecutors say that in June of last year, Rauda shot and killed 35-year-old Tristan Beaudette as he slept with his two young daughters at the park.

Authorities say he didn’t know his victims and haven’t released a motive for the attacks. He could face up to life in prison if convicted.
