ROCHESTER, N.Y. (AP) - A man has been found guilty in a deadly 2003 credit union robbery in western New York.

A federal jury on Friday found 59-year-old Richard Wilbern guilty on charges of robbery and murder related to an August 2003 heist at the Xerox Federal Credit Union near Rochester.

Wilbern was accused of shooting and killing a man who refused to lie down on the floor with other customers and employees. He made off with more than $10,000 cash.

Authorities say Wilbern was identified as a suspect in 2016 after a former co-worker tipped off authorities.

Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 11.
