Back in August, the Washington Redskins told teams that left tackle Trent Williams wasn’t available in a trade, despite the seven-time Pro Bowler’s demand to play elsewhere.
Now months later — and with two weeks until the NFL trading deadline — their stance apparently hasn’t changed.
The Redskins have “stonewalled” teams inquiring about the price it would take to land Williams in a trade, according to Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer. The report came after a rumor emerged Tuesday that the Cleveland Browns were interested in the 31-year-old.
Williams, who is holding out over his contract and a dispute with the team’s medical staff, has yet to play this season. He missed all of training camp and is facing over $1 million in fines for holdout.

Maybe that changes over the next 13 days. We’ll see.
Team president Bruce Allen told reporters last week that he would not consider trading the left tackle.
