Woman’s severely burned body found in her Philadelphia home

PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Authorities checking on the well-being of a Philadelphia woman found her severely burnt body inside her residence.

But it’s not yet known how the woman was burned or how long her body had been in the home. Her name, age and further details about her have not been released.

The body was found just after midnight Wednesday. Relatives had asked police to check on her because they had not heard from the woman in some time.

Authorities say the woman had severe burns to more than 80 percent of her body. Her manner of death has not been determined.
