CLARINDA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say a man serving a life sentence for murder has died in an Iowa prison.
The Iowa Corrections Department says Thomas Seehan was pronounced dead around 11:15 a.m. Thursday in his cell at the Clarinda Correctional Facility. He was 69.
The department says it’s believed he died of natural causes, but an autopsy has been ordered.
Seehan was convicted of first-degree murder in Story County. He began his prison time on June 14, 1976.
