OSKALOOSA, Iowa (AP) - A 35-year-old man has been accused of injuring a 10-month-old child at the man’s home in southern Iowa.

The Iowa Department of Public Safety says Richard Grylls was arrested Wednesday in Oskaloosa on charges of assault and child endangerment causing injury. Mahaska County Jail records say Grylls remained in custody Thursday. Court records don’t list the name of an attorney who could comment for him.

An investigation began Oct. 16 after the infant was taken to an Oskaloosa hospital for treatment of several injuries. The department says in a news release that the child is expected to make a full recovery.
