NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Police have publicly identified the victim of a weekend shooting in New Haven.

City police say 35-year-old Curtis McCray Jr. was shot just after 2 a.m. Saturday.

Police were alerted by ShotSpotter, the city’s gunfire detection system.



The Hamden man was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital with multiple gunshots wounds where he was pronounced dead.

McCray was the city’s ninth homicide victim this year.

No arrests have been announced and police are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact them.
