PHILADELPHIA (AP) - Police say an 11-year-old girl is in stable condition after she was injured by a fireworks blast in Philadelphia.
Police say the girl was playing with fireworks in a home when one went off. She was taken to Jefferson University Hospital by private auto and listed in stable condition, and officials said she would be taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. No further information was released about the nature of her injuries.
A bomb squad and SWAT team were called to the location. Police report damage to the second-floor room and the drywall where the girl was playing with fireworks.
