BOSTON (AP) - A Boston man has been convicted by a jury of fatally stabbing his adult son during an argument.
Prosecutors say 57-year-old Desmond Tahatdil was convicted Wednesday of second-degree murder in the March 2017 death of 35-year-old Brendon Tahatdil.
Witnesses testified that the defendant shared living space with his son and infant grandson in the basement of a home in the city’s Dorchester neighborhood.
A family member reported hearing a fight in the basement before the victim was taken to the hospital with multiple stab wounds, including one that had punctured his lung and heart.
The defendant fled the home prior to the arrival of police and was on the lam until he was apprehended in New York City in June 2018.
