LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say a barrel recovered from the garage of a home is believed to contain the body of a woman who was reported missing.
Police say the 55-gallon (208-liter) barrel was examined with an X-ray but left unopened before being taken Tuesday night to the Clark County Coroner’s Office for further examination.
According to police, they got a call Tuesday morning about a woman being missing and then located a man who was a friend of the woman and believed to be the last person known to have been with her.
Police said the man was arrested in the woman’s disappearance.
No identities were released.
