PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A woman stabbed multiple times in the head in a Philadelphia home has died from her injuries, authorities said.
The stabbing occurred shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday, though it’s still not clear what prompted the attack. The 47-year-old victim was taken to a hospital but was pronounced dead there later Sunday.
Further details about the stabbing, including what type of weapon was used, were not disclosed by city police. No other injuries were reported, and it wasn’t clear how many people were in the home when the stabbing occurred or if the victim lived in the residence.
