RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) - In a story published April 13, 2020, The Associated Press reported that Rodney Howard-Browne, a Florida-based charismatic Christian pastor who prayed over President Donald Trump in the Oval Office in 2017, had vowed not to stop in-person services and encouraged worshipers to shake hands despite experts identifying that behavior as an easy way to spread the virus. The story should have made clear that the pastor’s comments were made previously and that Howard-Browne has now stopped in-person services, although he has vowed to reopen the church at an unspecified date.
