ELKO, Nev. (AP) - Alcohol was identified as a contributing factor in a weekend crash that killed two people who were thrown from a pickup truck on Interstate 80 in northeast Nevada, the state highway patrol said.

The men found dead about 6:15 a.m. Sunday after the wreck just east of the town of Wells were identified as Joshua Cook, 32, and Christopher Marriott, both of the Nevada-Utah state line town of West Wendover.

The Nevada Highway Patrol in Elko did not identify which man was driving the pickup. It said neither man was wearing a seat belt when the orange Toyota ran off the left side of the highway and overturned.
