LOXLEY, Ala. (AP) - Tracking dogs helped locate an escaped Alabama inmate hours after he escaped from a minimum-security facility in south Alabama, prison officials said Wednesday.
A Department of Corrections statement said officers arrested Clifton Debales Lang, 57, in Baldwin County on Wednesday morning with the assistance of a canine team about four hours after he was reported missing from a work release center in Loxley.
Lang surrendered without a struggle.
Records show Lange has multiple convictions for property crimes and was 14 years into a life term for attempted burglary in Mobile County.
