TEANECK, N.J. (AP) - A woman was involved in two shootings that occurred hours apart in two different northern New Jersey towns and left a man injured, authorities said.
Tamykah Trival, 25, of Teaneck, was charged Tuesday with two counts of attempted murder and weapons offenses. She remains jailed and it wasn’t known Thursday if she has retained an attorney.
The first shooting occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Monday in Teaneck. Witnesses reported hearing a woman screaming followed by several gunshots, and an SUV then sped away from the scene.
The second shooting occurred around 3 a.m. Tuesday in Bergenfield, when someone in an SUV fired several shots into a car occupied by two men. The car’s driver was hit by at least one shot and was treated at a hospital for injuries that were not considered serious.
An investigation determined that the other man in the car, who was not injured, apparently was the intended target of both shootings, authorities said.
The shootings apparently stemmed from a domestic dispute, but further details were not disclosed.
