Police: Body found close to train tracks in Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - A body was found near an Amtrak line in Delaware, police said.

Wilmington police said a female body was discovered around 7 p.m. Monday near the city’s riverfront section, The Delaware New Journal reported.

Investigators are conducting a death investigation. They have not released the identity of the person.

Wilmington Police spokesman David Karas said in a statement the body was turned over to the Delaware Division of Forensic Sciences for further investigation.
