The latest batch of snow is arriving just in time to create problems for commuters in northern New England.
The storm is expected to drop up to a half-foot of snow Thursday on parts of Maine and New Hampshire, and its arrival coincides with people trying to get to work, said Hunter Tubbs from the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine. Some snow also was expected in parts of Vermont.
The timing could create a messy drive for people trying to get to work and to school, Tubbs said.
The snowfall was expected to begin early Thursday and wrap up by the afternoon, he said. The snow will mix with rain on the coast where 3-4 inches of snow is expected; greater accumulations are expected in inland communities, he said.
