EAST POINT, Ga. (AP) - One Georgia teen is dead and two others are wounded after a large brawl Tuesday afternoon lead to the triple shooting, authorities said.
East Point police Capt. Allyn Glover told news outlets officers responded to a shooting near the East Post MARTA station at about 4:20 p.m.
They found a man’s body at the bottom of a foot bridge near the BuggyWorks parking lot, Glover said. Police believe the victim was between the ages of 16 and 19. He was not immediately identified.
Glover said a second man ran across the railroad tracks to the other side of the bridge and collapsed. He was suffering from a gunshot wound and was taken to the hospital. A third man later arrived at Grady Memorial Hospital also suffering from a gunshot wound. The men’s conditions weren’t immediately released neither were their identifies.
Witnesses told police the shooting came after a fight between a large group of people. The investigation is ongoing.
