PORT SANILAC, Mich. (AP) - Two people have been rescued from a boat as it was sinking in Lake Huron.

A Sanilac County sheriff’s deputy pulled a 33-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man Thursday afternoon from the water near Port Sanilac, the Times Herald of Port Huron reported.

The woman was flown to a hospital in Saginaw. The man was treated at a Port Huron hospital and released.



The sinking boat was removed from the lake, according to the newspaper.

Port Sanilac is about 93 miles (149 kilometers) north of Detroit.
