PATERSON, N.J. (AP) - Two triple shootings that occurred within two days in a northern New Jersey community do not appear to be connected, authorities said.
The first shooting in Paterson occurred late Sunday, when three people - including a 15-year-old - were wounded on a city street, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office. The second occurred around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday, when three men - ages 18, 22 and 24 - were shot.
All six victims were treated at hospitals and are expected to recover, authorities said. Their names have not been released, and further details on the shootings were not disclosed.
Motives for both shootings remain under investigation.
