ST. LOUIS (AP) - A St. Louis man has been sentenced to more than 15 years in federal prison for a spate of violent carjackings across the city in 2018.

Federal prosecutors said in a news release that Deandre Moore, 26, was sentenced Tuesday to 186 months in prison for his part in six armed carjackings. Moore and another man, Deron Mitchell, committed the carjackings from September through early November of 2018, investigators said.

Moore pleaded guilty in February to six counts of carjacking and two counts of brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence. Mitchell, who also pleaded guilty in February to the same counts, faces sentencing at a later date.
