TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - A dead body was found in the Tempe canal on Thursday, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the canal near Broadway Road and the Loop 101 around noon Thursday.
Details surrounding the body recovery weren’t immediately released.
Sheriff’s officials didn’t say if the body has been identified yet.
The county Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
