WALLINGFORD, Conn. (AP) - The death of a Connecticut teen whose body was found in a lake is being investigated as a homicide, police said.

Police Lt. Cheryl Bradley said two kayakers discovered the body of Nolvin Diaz partially submerged Sunday in Community Lake, the Record-Journal reported.

Diaz was reported missing April 25 and was last seen leaving his home in Wallingford on April 23.

Police say they are investigating the death as a homicide because they found there were attempts to submerge the body.

The cause of death has not yet been determined.
